DISCOVER GASCONY, a stunningly beautiful yet hidden part of France, where life is simple but vibrant, where the markets bustle and the wine flows, where people make time for you and each other. Gascony Experience will introduce you to people, sights and events that often remain undiscovered by visitors ... so you will enjoy memorable experiences ...that will make your visit exceptional.
EXPERIENCE BREAKS are based around themes that will let you join in the local life, try out new things, practise your own favourite pastime or just simply relax and unwind with friends or family. Whatever you choose you will be able to share in the passions and skills of local people, enjoy the rolling beauty of your surroundings and sample the food, drink and hospitality of South-West France.
Or we can simply help you find a great place to stay and you can use our year round ‘What's on' information and advice to follow you own passions and uncover your own Gascony experience.
WHAT'S ON: a year round guide that helps you find the real gems that make Gascony an unforgettable place ... from local fetes to the international jazz festival at Marciac; join in the music and dancing at Vic Fenzensac's tempo latino extravaganza; find the best places to eat and drink - whatever your budget; plan a trip round the exhibitions, museums and historic villages; pick up a bargain at the flea markets; and we'll also point you in the direction of the best places to buy local produce to take home with you.

Our experience break categories are listed on the left. You can search each section to find some thing that stimulates your taste buds or gets your pulse racing or gives you the R & R you so richly deserve or lets you follow your own passions and uncover your own Gascony experience.
At the heart of our experience break concept is recognition that when you visit a friend who lives abroad, they can introduce you to so much more of their country than if you simply arrived to explore yourself. Our experience breaks are therefore designed to reveal Gascony and let you discover aspects of life here you might otherwise not experience.
Local people will share with you their artisan traditions, passions, creative skills and boundless knowledge of the countryside.
Some of these breaks are structured activities, others simply help you explore with some guidance so your are free to choose something that moves at your own pace and which gives you sufficent free time to take in all that is Gascony.
We are currently creating these breaks as fast as we can, so if you can not find something to suit please email us at ideas@gasconyexperience.com telling us what you are looking for and we will get back to you with some ideas.
Or we can simply help you find a great place to stay and you can use our year round ‘What's on' information and advice to follow you own passions and uncover your own Gascony experience.
The aim of our 'places to stay' section on the Gascony Experience site is to enable you to search and find a place to stay in Gascony that meets your needs for your holiday or break at a price suitable for your budget.
You can search for all types of property. There are grand chateaux of the region often originally built by the local wine producers, solid stone or traditional wooden framed villas and houses, charming and welcoming B & Bs or chambres d'hote, sophisticated or comfortable hotels, chalets or static caravans in the woods or by lakes and rivers and of course camping itself in similar areas.
These properties are provided by independent property owners and French Tourism organisations who are working in partnership with us to bring you the broadest range of properties available in Gascony.
So just click on 'places to stay' in the top menu bar search and browse to find the holiday home of your dreams.
Currently we are adding properties to our site on a daily basis, so if you can not find what you want today please try again soon. Or if you know what you are looking for and can not find here please email us your request at info@gasconyexperience.com and we will do our very best to find you something suitable.
Soon each property will have a quality rating that will give you a clearer idea of what standards expect.

Gascony is in South West France (see white spot). It is a long way south of the UK but which generally means it is warmer and worth having a swimming pool between May and October. Gascony has been christened the 'French Tuscany' as it has abundant quantities of terracotta roof tiles, sunflowers, poppies and glorious rolling hillsides. The foods superb to! Auch is even on the same latitude as Florence.
And now the good news, Gascony is closer and cheaper.
You can fly to Toulouse, Pau, Bordeaux or Biarritz with a flight of under 2 hours.
You can drive from ports in Northern France e.g. from Caen in approximately 8 hours.
