A local partnership

Gascony Experience is the creation of Adam & Wendy Thomas who live in Gascony and are attempting to provide a gateway to Gascony for people who do not know the area.

The idea is to work together in partnership with Comité Départemental du Tourisme et des Loisirs Gers en Gascogne and the local people and businesses to create a detailed guide for the region.

This is designed to make this little known and undiscovered area available to visitors from UK. A team of local expert reviewers and researchers contribute to the website including local experts, ex-pat residents, tourist offices, property owners, artisans and event organisers. Together they create and regularly update the content on this site including:

What’s On:  A year-round guide to the hidden gems of Gascony - fêtes, festivals, places to visit, exhibitions, concerts, the best places to eat, to find the finest foie gras, confits, wines and Armagnac.

Travel & info: packed with information helping you to find and book the best way for to travel to Gascony.

Experience Breaks:  Whether tailor made or made to measure we can create carefully-crafted themed packages – such as art, food and wine, sport, wellbeing, music and dance – that let you join in the local life, try something new, or merely unwind.

Celebrations and house parties: If you’re planning to celebrate an anniversary, birthday, wedding or just want to spend sometime with family and friends we can find the right place to stay, facilities and catering – even things to do for your guests.-

Places to stay:  The most comprehensive line-up of Gascon properties – gîtes, chambres d’hôtes, hotels, châteaux and even campsites – from simple rustic outdoor living to stylish quality that suits every pocket.

Whatever your interests and passions, our intension at Gascony Experience is to offer something to interest, involve and entertain you.

We work in partnership in Gascony with amongst others the Comité Départemental du Tourisme et des Loisirs Gers en Gascogne, Gîtes de France, Loisirs Accueuil Gers, and Camping Gers.  We acknowledge the support of the Bureau National Interprofessional de l’Armagnac and the Plaimont Producteurs. Many organisation have provide photographs of the region and where we have failed to acknowledge the individual photographers we appologise and will be happy to be put right.

In the UK our team is led by Anita Robinson. An invaluable and generous contribution to our advertising and publicity has been made by our friend Paul Jackson of www.pjauk.com. The website has been built with patience and dedication by Chris & Rob at www.softidiom.com. The design was created by Charlie Ward and much of the early photography was the work of my brother Crispin Thomas available for hire at http://crispinthomas.com/

Finally our viewers and customers are the people who make this possible. If you have any suggestions for how we can improve our offering we would find this invaluable so please email us at info@gasconyexperience.com
