Welcome to painting and creating

There is a wealth of local artistic talent in Gascony - painters, sculptors, artists in stained glass and a wealth of inspiration to match it - from the rolling landscapes, which at any time of the year will show you different facets of their beauty, the architecture of medieval villages and Bastides through to the colourful and vibrant markets and the characterful faces of local people.

Whether starting from scratch, learning new techniques or just practising for the love of it, our local tutors and hosts will create a tailored programme for you based around your experience, skills and interests.

Your tutor and host, together, will make sure that each programme gives you the time and the space to enjoy the very best of what Gascony has to offer by introducing you to the local food, wine and culture as well as participating in tutorials and then providing you with the freedom and the support to put your learning into practise.

Your Experience Break will be located in one of our great places to stay, each one specially selected for its hospitality, ambiance and facilities. This, together with our carefully chosen local hosts and tutors will make your break an experience to remember.

You will already find a number of breaks on the website. To find out what breaks are already organised simply search ‘painting & creating' which appears under ‘breaks and holidays' in the top menu bar.

If there is nothing there that meets your needs contact us to find out what is in the process of being developed or whether we can tailor something for you.

To explore the possibilities simply e-mail us at ideas@gasconyexperience.com or phone us on 0161 430 4499 with an outline of your requirements and we will get back to you with some proposals.

Espas Fete
Espas Fete

Espas is a small village fete with a big reputation. Its core events are Sunday morning breakfast of snails, sausages and cheese washed down with copious amounts of wine - a very jolly affair with tables strung out down the main street. The second key event is a mass BBQ or traditional grilled lamb in a baguette followed by a disco and confetti battle.
