Gascony Experience's house parties and celebrations are a way of getting together with family and friends at any time of the year.
Whether you are planning to mark that special birthday in grand style, tie the knot, transport the whole family for a Gascony Christmas or New Year or just find a moment in the year to relax and have fun with a group of friends, we can create an experience break that will be tailored to what you want.
Working in partnership with our property owners we can organise anything from:
- helping you find the right accommodation for you and your friends or family, giving you all the advice that will help you get the best out of your stay and then leaving you to enjoy yourselves
- providing you with excellent local chefs who will make that celebratory meal just that bit more special
- bringing one of our many experience breaks to your house party or celebration - trying your hand at something creative; knocking a few balls around on the golf course; pampering yourself at one of the local health and beauty spas; boating on the river; even improving your French
- helping you to organise a really special event such as your wedding or any significant anniversary
There are things to do in Gascony at any time of the year so you can build your house party or celebration around any key event: jazz in Marciac in the summer; the St Mont wine festival in March; Armagnac distillation in autumn; the many concerts and art exhibitions that appear throughout the year; the annual flower festival at Fources

Your hosts Kate and Rob have extensive international experience in welcoming guests and providing generous hospitality. Their beautifully restored Maison de Maitre has 4 comfortable and airy bedrooms with the cottage providing an additional 3 bedrooms. Both properties together provide comfortable guest lounges and dining rooms and 6 bathrooms. With a 12x8 metre swimming pool and situated in 10 acres of woodland and meadows this is an ideal place to create a memorable celebration or gathering of friends or family. Guests have the option of self catering with modern, well-equipped kitchens or alternatively simply enjoying the local cuisine, wines and service provided at A Gaillut.

Arnauton house and lodge is a 16th century farmhouse which is located in the heart of Gascony just 6km south of Condom. It has been beautifully restored and stands in 5 acres of grounds with superb views. This is an ideal venue for large gatherings as it sleeps upto 16 guests - accommodation is split between the main house which sleeps 12 and a separate lodge which sleeps an additional 4. Facilities include a private swimming pool, tennis court, UK television and wireless broadband but its location means that there is also lots to see and do closeby ensuring that all group members can find something that they enjoy. |

This charming chateau was built in the 12th century and is located in the heart of the Gascony countryside in a region often called 'the French Tuscany' due to its rolling hills and medieval villages. This region is the home of Fois Gras, Armagnac, d'Artagnan and the three muskateers. This family-run chateau is not a hotel but a home from home - and a perfect venue to make your celebration, wedding or gathering a special and memorable event. There are 13 lovely, elegant bedrooms in the chateau for guests' accommodation and there are two large rooms or 'chais' which are perfect for larger events of upto 500 people. |

Chateau Le Haget is a fantastic venue for any event or celebration. Dating back to the 19th century it boasts a hunting room/apartment and 9 attractively decorated guest rooms. There are numerous chalets around the spacious grounds as well as fully equipped tents which make it suitable for accommodating larger parties and weddings. There is a large dining room that can cater for 60 people. Alternatively the owners also have extensive experience of providing marquees for larger parties.

Originally the jazz of Marciac was just a few days of entertainment, but as more and more people discovered it, its popularity has grown and now the Jazz of Marciac has become a big international festival taking place each year over 17 days and featuring many big-name artists. Price 24 - 54 euros depending on date & seat. Pre-booking advised. Under 12s - 10 euros. Open Sat 1st August - Sun 16th August. |

The Cuivro'Foliz festival takes place over 3 days in July and features lively street music in a happy, fun and family-friendly way. There are lots of activities for children and everyone can enjoy the brass band performances - they are lively and animated - unlike the brass bands that we are familiar with! | Festival de Country Music - 09 July 2009 to 14 July 2009 | Grand events |

This international festival has been taking place for 14 years and is recognised as the 1st Country Music Festival in Europe. It celebrates not just country music with 73 concerts over 5 days, but also features hot air balloons, a truck show, a motorbike show and an American car show. Price for 5 days - 110 euros; 1 day - 28 euros; discounts available if pre-booked; discounts available to 15-20 year olds with proof of age/identity; free for under 15s. Open Thurs 9th July to Tuesday 14th July from 6.30pm each day. |

Condom's festival de bandas is one of the biggest brass band gatherings in France, it is also a European festival. But it is not brass bands as we know them. The up-beat festival music creates a carnival atmosphere fun-filled with lively dancing and brightly coloured clothes. 2009 sees the 37th festival which takes place over 3 days and nights. Friday and Saturday's events are riotous with Sunday being a little more serene! Prices for 2009 to be confirmed - 2008 prices were; for 3 days - 24 euros; Fri - 10 euros; Sat - 10 euros; Sun - 8 euros; children under 12 free. Open Friday 7pm - 4am; Saturday 2pm - 4am; Sunday 9.30am - 6pm. |

Lavardens is an imposing hilltop fortified village. The castle attached to it was a stronghold of the counts of Armagnac. For a while the château belonged to the Marquis of Mirabeau, father of the famous revolutionary. Afterwards it fell into decay but has since been completely renovated by a private society 'amis du château'.
Open daily June-Sept 10.30-7pm; April, May, Oct 10.30-12.30 and 2-6pm. Closed mid Jan-mid Feb.
